EVERYBODY HAS A STORY® TEAMS UP WITH THE LEAGUE OF
WOMEN VOTERS SOUTH BEND ASSOCIATION TO PRESENT
YOUR VOICE. YOUR VOTE.
“Music has an incredible power to bring people together,” explains Everybody Has A Story’s Executive Director Curt Heckaman. “Unfortunately, we have been unable to complete our Annual Benefit Show this year due to the COVID 19 crisis."
Still, we feel that we would like to do something for the community and have crafted a series of short live-streamed videos to urge folks to vote this year. To facilitate this we have decided to collaborate and support The League of Women Voters, South Bend Association.
For event updates, follow Everybody Has A Story on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Show attendees are encouraged to use the hashtags #1VoteRockstheBoat and #YourVOICEyourVOTE to join the conversation on social media around the event.
IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT CORVID-19 AND EVERYBODY HAS A STORY'S 2020 BENEFIT SHOW
Thank you for sharing our passion supporting Everybody Has A Story® over the past seven years. When it first became clear the Covid-19 virus may well affect our plans to hold a concert this year Steve, Shari, and I determined that it would be best to wait and see how things were going to play out before we decided what to do.
Unfortunately, it has not played out very well for any of us. The resulting disruptions of business at all levels and the high unemployment rates suggest that it will be very hard to raise money for our 2020 beneficiary, The Family Justice Center. We value the safety of guests, volunteers, staff, and contributing crews as a top priority and have determined that it may not be safe for patrons and performers to gather together at any location the night of the concert as well as our summer fundraiser concert.
We have discussed this with our beneficiary and have decided to formally close our show for this year (2020). Our intention is to return next year when conditions are more favorable for achieving our goals and we hope you would consider supporting our cause once again in 2021.
We are looking forward to a summer and fall full of live music in support of our beneficiary once again in 2021. We’ve already begun planning the 2021 season and hope that you will keep joining us!
SINCE OUR INCEPTION SIX YEARS AGO WE HAVE COLLABORATED WITH THE SBS TV/WETL: 91.7 RADIO, PART OF THE CTE PROGRAM AT RILEY HIGH SCHOOL. READ MORE...
