South Bend, IN.--Everybody Has A Story  (www.ehassb.com) co-founder and South Bend native C.R. Heckaman today announced that the 2018 Everybody Has A Story, Curtis Lord & Friends generated a record-setting fundraiser for 2018’s beneficiary Michiana Performing and Adaptive Arts Community of South Bend, Indiana. The variety show contributes its net proceeds to nonprofits throughout the Michiana area, and this years funding will be used to expand and enhance MPAAAC's existing programs. Everybody Has A Story has generated $30,000 for more than six local not-for-profits since 2014.

“We work hard to make Curtis Lord and Friends a premier event — attracting top local musicians and storytellers, hundreds of dedicated fans and, ultimately, raising a significant amount of money for so many worthy causes,” said C.R. Heckaman, Director and Co-Founder of Everybody Has A Story. “Congratulations to our 2018 beneficiary, Jetta Cruse, for shining a spotlight on those with cognitive and physical challenges who are underrepresented in the performing arts.  We’re grateful for everyone’s support in helping to make this another unforgettable South Bend original production.”

Everybody Has A Story's mission is to identify not-for-profits that are making a difference in the Michiana community. Everybody Has A Story board members CR Heckaman, Steve Sult and Shari Coleman Herman host the annual benefit concert to raise funds for support and raise awareness of organizations doing great work and to inspire the community. Since 2014, Everybody Has A Story, with the support of the artists who contribute their performances each year has raised money to support programs that will help the overall community thrive.
