Michiana musicians and storytellers will present concert to support teachers at Perley Fine Arts Academy benefit concert

South Bend, Indiana --- Everybody Has A Story™ (www.ehassb.com) announced today that it will team up with the South Bend Education Foundation and the South Bend Community School Corporation to bring its 4th Annual music and variety show on Saturday, October, 14, 2017 at Vegetable Buddies in South Bend, IN. Tickets are now on sale to the public

“The South Bend Education Foundation is pleased to partner with Everybody Has A Story for a second time,” said South Bend Education Foundation Director Susan Warner. “Since 2014, Everybody Has A Story has provided support for Michiana not-for-profits to large numbers of concert goers in South Bend.”

“We are honored to be working with the school system," said Steve Sult, director of marketing and advertising for Everybody Has A Story (EHAS,LLC). “We entertained large numbers of fans at three venues in Michiana over the past 3 years and reached citizens with wholesome, inspiring messages about community and education from musicians, local businesses and civic leaders in the area. We all are in awe of what Perley has done and continues to do for our young people in the community.”

Perley Primary Fine Arts Academy is focused on providing students with meaningful experiences and exposure to all art forms; with guest artists, performance opportunities, an integrated curriculum, and an extensive After-School Arts program, said Perley's Principal Joe Somers. ”Proceeds from the concert this year will provide financial support for the teachers at Perley who personally spend upwards of 100-200 dollars out of pocket each per year for necessary teaching tools."

“Perley is a fine arts magnet school,” said Somers. “This means teachers have written a supplemental guide integrating arts into the regular curriculum, so students can begin seeing connections among those subjects. Students also have a chance to learn outside of the classroom through free after school programs. Students learn piano, violin, cello, they do modern dance. They do media and they create abstract art,” Somers pointed out.

“Music has an incredible power to bring people together,” said Everybody Has A Story’s Executive Director Curt Heckaman. “An Evening With Curtis Lord & Friends is an evening that illustrates the diversity and strength of the Michiana area and provides a chance for us to honor the teachers who inspired each of us from our past and pay it forward.”

Tickets for Everybody Has A Story presents An Evening With Curtis Lord & Friends 2017 are now on sale. Ticket prices $25.00 for a single seat.
