South Bend Community School Corporation’s Madison Primary Center Students Create Artwork for Benefit Concert Fundraiser

Local area concert benefit features personalized notecards designed by students from Madison Primary Center's Fine Art program

 

South Bend, Indiana – Everybody Has A Story (EHAS LLC) announced that students from South Bend’s Community School Corporation, Madison Primary Center created artwork that has been produced and featured on custom notecards as a way of contributing to their school through Fine Art. The notecards will be on sale at An Evening With Curtis Lord and Friends taking place on October 8, 2016, in downtown South Bend at Century Center’s Discovery. Tickets to are on sale now at www.ehassb.com.

 

 “The notecard designs’ provided each of these young artists an opportunity to stretch their minds beyond the boundaries of printed text,” said Shari Coleman-Herman, Director of Operations for EHAS LLC. “We had students from various grade levels illustrate what they think our benefit concert might look like, coloring each one in a Pop Art style,” Herman said.

 

”It felt like a really nice way to start the year and create a sense of celebration of their community by having our kids join in on the spirit of giving and supporting the school through fine art,” said Alexandria Vorels, Madison Primary Center’s Art Teacher.

 

“By purchasing these student creations it helps Madison Primary Center transition into “Madison STEAM Academy,” said Deb Martin, Principal at Madison Primary Center. “We are working hard to enrich the things that matter most: thinking skills, a sense of wonder, discovery, creativity, problem solving and collaboration. The arts provide this and Shari Herman’s initial concept and her support provide all of these,” Martin added.

 

The notecards are printed on fine art paper and is available online and at the concert benefit on October 8, in packages of six individual notecards with matching envelopes for (15.00) The notecards are available at the concert in the lobby of The Century Center, outside of the Discovery Room.

 

Everybody Has A Story will team up with the South Bend Education Foundation and the South Bend Community School Corporation with Madison Primary Center as the beneficiary – to bring its 3rd Annual music and variety show on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Century Center in South Bend, IN. Tickets are now on sale to the public Ticket prices range from $30.00 for a single seat to $250.00 for a table of ten.
