South Bend, Indiana – Today, Everybody Has A Story™ (www.ehassb.com) announced Billy ‘Stix’ Nicks will join a stellar lineup for its 2016 music and variety show, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 8, 7:30 p.m. at the Century Center in South Bend, IN.

The concert features special recognition for the local drumming legend, Billy ‘Stix’ Nicks who will appear with his group, The Motown Machine along with South Bend natives giving back to the South Bend community. Dan Waterhouse, StarHeart, Terry and the Heartbeats, The Moonshine Crooners, The Moore Brothers, and special guests Lindsay Kelly & Rus Stanford will join Everybody Has A Story founder and director C.R. Heckaman (Curtis Lord) at “An Evening With Curtis Lord & Friends 2016.

“When Billy started his career I’m sure that he could not have have imagined sharing the same air with Detroit’s Motown Hitsville Marvin Gaye, the Temptations, Smoky Robinson, Martha Reeves and Stevie Wonder,” founder and director of Everybody Has A Story, C.R. Heckaman, said. “His career as a “percussion magician” started as young high school student at South Bend’s Central High School and has been blessed with family, a list of notable performer relationships that span over 60 years and a true spirit of paying it forward to his community, especially young people. We're pleased that Billy has agreed to perform. “ Heckaman added.

“Everybody Has A Story will team up with the South Bend Community School Corporation”s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Audio Video Production Program to produce a four minute video for the presentation to Mr. Nicks,” said Steve Sult, Marketing and Advertising Director for Everybody Has A Story. “This video experience will teach students about photography, camera functions, video editing, media analysis, production coordination, client services and film making as well as an entire audio side to the presentation. Students will work as a group to plan, shoot, and edit this project,” Sult added.

The Everybody Has A Story benefit concert takes place each year thanks to the generosity of Michiana musicians, storytellers, artists and poets who lend their talent to raise awareness with wholesome, inspiring messages about community and education,” said Shari Coleman-Herman, director of operations of Everybody Has A Story (EHAS,LLC). “We are so pleased to have an eclectic lineup this year that includes returning artists, as well as artists new to the ‘An Evening With Curtis Lord’ stage,” Herman, added.

Everybody Has A Story™ (www.ehassb.com) will team up with the South Bend Education Foundation and the South Bend Community School Corporation with Madison Primary Center as the beneficiary – to bring its 3rd Annual music and variety show on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Century Center in South Bend, IN. Tickets are now on sale to the public Ticket prices range from $30.00 for a single seat to $250.00 for a table of ten.
