Fundraiser For Fall Concert a Rousing Success

South Bend, Indiana – Everybody Has A Story, entertained for a cause with a special fundraiser on Tuesday, April 12 at popular downtown restaurant Chicory Café, known for their New Orleans cuisine and extensive fair trade coffee selections. Everybody Has A Story (EHAS) will present a music and variety concert this fall, showcasing artists and performers united in celebration of South Bend. The beneficiary is a local charity, Madison Primary Center. To support the EHAS concert effort, the Chicory Café at 105 E. Jefferson Blvd.donated 20% of dining proceeds on April 12th.
“We were so pleased that The Moonshine Crooners, StarHeart, Curtis Lord and members from Terry and the Heartbeats joined us, not only for the big concert in September but also for this fundraiser on April 12th,” said C.R. Heckaman, EHAS director who also performs as Curtis Lord. “Each performer are renowned throughout the the city, and will be a real draw for us.”
Everybody Has A Story (EHAS) is dedicated to celebrating the solidarity and spirit of South Bend and the Michiana area by gathering musicians, singers, composers, poets and artists, each with a connection to the area. Every performer will weave their story into the exciting concert extravaganza to be held at the Century Center on October 8, 2016. The EHAS team has attracted a line-up of volunteer professionals, donating time and talent to create and produce the event, but the hard costs of the concert (such as audio-visual gear, printing, merchandising and venue) must be paid for, so fundraisers are scheduled through the summer.
“We are so pleased the Chicory Café offered their ‘Dine For A Cause’ program to us,” said Heckaman. “They are just one of several businesses that have come on board to support the revitalization of South Bend and our celebration show. Our fundraiser on Tuesday was a delicious way to show support, and we were thrilled so many joined us.
