7 July 2015 South Bend, Indiana --- Everybody Has A Story, the all-volunteer community organization that promotes music events to benefit Michiana charities, announces their second annual concert of music and variety this fall. The date has been set for Friday, October 23, 2015 at O’Laughlin Auditorium on the campus of St. Mary’s College.

Two beneficiaries have been selected for the 2015 EHAS concert. One is Reading for Life, a non-profit mentoring program for juvenile offenders that guides them to make better life choices by exploring young adult fiction though the lens of the Classic Virtues of justice, courage, temperance, liberality, gentleness, prudence, and wisdom. Also chosen is The Frantz L. Dantzler Friends For Life Fund Inc., a non-profit that partners with selected veterinary clinics throughout greater Michiana to help area citizens in financial distress cover the costs of basic care for family pets.

The organization started in 2013 as the brainchild of singer-guitarist and South Bend native, C. R. Heckaman, who sought a way to give back to his hometown. Heckaman coordinated volunteer musicians, performers, artists, and community activists, all with ties to the Michiana region, and formed Everybody Has A Story (EHAS) to create a music and variety concert event, with the proceeds dedicated to support local charity. The first year’s concert in September 2014 was a great success and netted a generous donation to The 360 Project, a non-profit group that works with shelter dogs and at-risk teens through the Juvenile Justice Center. The mission, the vision -- in fact the whole reason Everybody Has A Story exists is to identify charities that are making a difference in the Michiana community and promote music and variety events to raise funds to help them thrive. "The name Everybody Has A Story came about because we envisioned a wide range of homegrown talent sharing their stories,” says Curt Heckman, EHAS Executive Director. "Our concerts celebrate our community with music and good times to remind us that each one of us is important. Every one of us has a story worth telling."

Completely staffed by volunteers, Everybody Has A Story, is actively seeking assistance in the form of a "Street Team" of brand ambassadors, including help behind the scenes as well as donations and sponsorships from the Michiana business community. “Whether you are a talented performer, or you wish to offer a cash donation, or you follow us on social media, we welcome your participation and hope you will join our circle of friends,” says Heckaman. “The only qualification to be part of Everybody Has A Story is to have an affiliation for the South Bend-Michiana community as a great place to live. Join us. And don’t miss the concert – it will sell out quickly. Get your tickets right away.”
