South Bend, Indiana --- Everybody Has A Story™ (www.ehassb.com) announced today that it will partner with South Bend Community School Corporation’s Career & Technical Education Audio/Visual Program at Riley High School to present two video presentations for its 3rd Annual music and variety show on Saturday, October 8, 2016, 7:30 p.m. at the Century Center in South Bend, IN.
“The Career & Technical Education Program is pleased to have the opportunity to play an increased role this year with Everybody Has A Story’s production,” said Career & Technical Education Director, Laura Marzotto. “The Program at Riley High School has gained a great deal of experience since 2014, by including our students in support of their concert/benefit productions at the Century Center (2014) and St. Mary’s, O’Laughlin Auditorium (2015).”
“The first concert in 2014 gave me an opportunity to offer training for CTE students providing experience to assist our film and production crew for the event,” said Steve Sult, director of marketing and advertising for Everybody Has A Story (EHAS, LLC). “We entertained large numbers of fans at two venues over the past 2 years and the students role in production has increased ten-fold from that first year. We are very impressed with the Audio Visual Production class and how these young students have matured in order for them to move forward in their careers after graduation. We requested that the program take on a bigger role this year by producing 2 three-minute videos and use our production as an assignment that will be graded. Additionally, students will provide production assistance and camera operators to support Director, Girbe Eefsting of the Film Farm and Bill Jung, production director from WKTV television in Grand Rapids, Michigan,” Sult said.
"Bringing this opportunity to my students by involving them with area businesses provides each student with industry knowledge and creates a learning environment for each student to be ready for their next step in their path to a college and career ready resume, said Doug Story, SBCSC CTE Audio/Visual Production Teacher. Story is the teacher for the Audio/Video Production class who brings over 30 years of professional audio/visual production experience to the program. “My main goal is to help each student realize their potential and value by coming out of this two year program, better than they were when they entered, with their eye on a promising future,” Story said.
