“The South Bend Education Foundation is pleased to partner with Everybody Has A Story for the first time,” said South Bend Education Foundation Director Susan Warner. “Since 2014, Everybody Has A Story has provided support for 3 Michiana not-for-profits to large numbers of concert goers in South Bend.”
“We are honored to be working with the school system, with this year’s event marking a major milestone in the powerfully impactful campaign for Madison Primary Center for a genuinely good cause for the Michiana area,” said Steve Sult, director of marketing and advertising for Everybody Has A Story (EHAS,
LLC). “We entertained large numbers of fans at two venues in Michiana over the past 2 years and this advocacy of reaching citizens with wholesome, inspiring messages about community and education from musicians, local businesses and civic leaders in the area. We all are in awe of what Madison Primary Center has done and continues to do for our young people in the community.”
"The turnaround from a failing school to a successful program is a complicated and gradual process to bring real change, said Madison Primary Center’s Principal Deb Martin. ”Proceeds from the concert this year will provide financial support for the teachers at Madison who personally spend upwards of 100-200 dollars out of pocket each per year for necessary teaching tools (http://www.ehassb.com/untitled)
“The school now features the STEAM curriculum,” said Martin. “The curriculum served as a big factor in Madison’s turnaround.” And she points to the hard work of staff, who have responded to the high level of emotional needs of students.
Only a few years ago this school was on the brink of failure but it has made an amazing turn around,” explains Martin. "Through innovation, commitment, and just plain hard work Madison is now on the verge of achieving an academic standard reached by only 2 other schools in all of Indiana”, Martin said.
“Music has an incredible power to bring people together,” said Everybody Has A Story’s Executive Director Curt Heckaman. “An Evening With Curtis Lord & Friends is an evening that illustrates the diversity and strength of the Michiana area and provides a chance for us to honor the teachers who inspired each of us from our past and pay it forward.”
